By Chain Type: Match the 05B sprocket pitch (8mm) exactly to your existing 05B ISO roller chain. Do not interchange with ANSI #40 chain despite similar pitch values.
By Application: Simplex (05B-1) covers approximately 70% of light-duty applications. Select duplex (05B-2) when load exceeds single-strand rating or where redundancy is required. Triplex (05B-3) for high-torque, low-speed drives.

Installation Guide
Step 1: Verify the sprocket pitch (8mm) matches your 05B chain. Confirm tooth count, bore diameter, and keyway dimensions match your shaft.
Step 2: Mount the sprocket onto the shaft and secure with the key and set screws. Torque set screws to the manufacturer’s specification.
Step 3: Align the drive and driven sprockets using a straightedge or laser alignment tool. Both sprocket faces must lie within 0.5 mm per 300 mm of centre distance.
Step 4: Install the chain with correct tension. The recommended sag is 2-3% of the centre distance on the slack side.
Step 5: Apply initial lubrication to the chain and sprocket engagement area before starting the drive.
Maintenance and Inspection
Lubrication: Apply ISO VG 30-50 oil to the chain at the sprocket engagement point at intervals determined by operating speed and environment. Do not use grease.
